We are constantly making efforts to improve the overall experience for all families as well as providing a safe environment for all families and registered participants. In doing so we assign observation weeks for viewing all classes. Your assigned observation week will remain the same from session to session and the same for all members/siblings of your family. We do not offer or assign observation weeks during the first week of the session to allow participants and Instructors an opportunity to bond and establish expectations. New families may walk their child in and help guide them to the staging area.
Follow the arrows and signs upon arrival. All participants wash their hands first, then take off their shoes, socks and place them in cubbies along with your water bottle. The staging area is at the end of the hallway, at the base of the stairs which families would take up to the Parent Viewing Area during their assigned week. You are asked to exit the building after dropping off your child to avoid congestion in common areas. You are encouraged to use the time to take a walk or relax in your vehicle. We will continue to maintain this practice to avoid having up to 20 families at a time in our limited space viewing area.
We are aware this is not idea for some. Only a handful of families have had reservations about our assigned observation weeks. We refunded their tuition and withdrew their child from class. We do not want any families or participants to feel uncomfortable with this practice. We also do not intend on changing it any time soon as it works great for Instructors and participants with fewer distractions, improving safety and increased focus tasks and on Instructors guidance.
A sign is posted to the right of the entrance displaying the week number which we are in. The information is also posted on the wall calendar right inside the main door. Even on your observation week, please have your child leave their items in the cubbies to avoid kids running up and down stairs. Your observation week will remain the same from session to session and for all members of your family. We do not offer make up observations or adjust observation weeks to accommodate requests like visiting family members or holidays. The current assigned week keeps the viewing area attendance to less than 20 guests per class. If we combined weeks, we could potentially have over 40 guests in the viewing area which is not idea. Visiting relatives are welcome during your week, but please be considerate of others space, seating and keep numbers small. You can also bring them to open gym times if it is not your assigned week.
Please do not arrive for class more than 5 minutes early as that leads to standing around while Staff see other participants out or sanitize equipment and spaces. We have several staff members to help your child get in and out of class. Feel free to wait in your car, on the sidewalk, or wait inside the entryway briefly for your child at the end of class. We appreciate you understanding and accepting our efforts to keep all families safe while we continue to provide your child with a great experience!
We are happy to have you and are grateful that you are giving our program a chance!
